This is a beginners intro to sustainable foraging for food and art material. We’ll only recommend eats along the route that are in abundance & we’ve had for supper ourselves! We’re happy to share the general rules and advice but you still harvest at your own risk.
Our collection of foraging and identification books will be with us for your own further reference.
Join us in Poppies afterwards for a found art session inspired by/using your findings. We’ll have some scrap & foraged items ready prepared for you to make a very simple souvenir.
Bring gloves as well as a basket, container, or bag (something breathable like cotton is preferable).
If a few people can bring watering cans that would be lovely! We’ll be bringing our own homemade “worm tea” and can give the planters a water while we’re there (if needed).
Be prepared; we’ll only cancel if weather conditions are extreme.
